When was the last time you took your digital camera to the store and actually developed photos? With all of the technology available to us, we often forget or simply don’t feel like going to get pictures developed when we can easily scroll through our cameras or phones to browse those images that we took not once, not twice, but possibly three or more times to capture the perfect photo. We have the luxury of capturing a photo and instantly seeing the results of our handy work, but what is the point of perfecting the ‘perfect shot’ if you don’t even print it for others to see? We all know that a house simply does not feel like a home unless there are pictures hanging on the walls. Simply posting on social media may gain some ‘likes’ and impressive comments; however, having those photos printed and on display or in a photo album for guests to browse through can be fun to reminisce, start a conversation, or simply brag about how great your kids looked at their graduation or wedding. We are proud of our families and friends and the moments we share with them, why not share that happiness with printed photos?
Let’s not forget that technology can fail. If you drop your camera or phone in water or if it breaks, then those 500 to 1000+ photos are all gone, taking away some precious memories that photos bring. Printed photos leave a legacy of you, your family, and your friends.
Today, I encourage you to take time to organize and print your photos. Don’t feel that your photos are of good quality? I encourage you to hire a photographer to take some professional shots that you can print and proudly hang on your walls.
